This program is designed to explore the ethical considerations that must be addressed by lawyers who represent clients in the collaborative process.  The program will deal with the ethics involved in client screening, attorney liability under the participation agreement, voluntary disclosure to other parties, disclosure of information to other team members, attorney/client privilege, e-mail communications, party communications to non-attorney team members, transfer of information to litigation lawyers should any unresolved issues proceed to an adversarial venue, and the ethical obligations of all lawyers to inform clients regarding available alternative forms of dispute resolution.
